How long do I have to be in the country for the Allurion Balloon placement?

Minimum 2 days.

Do I need any tests before the procedure?

No, you don't.

What are the side effects?

During the first few days, there may be slight symptoms (e.g. nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort); however, these are tolerable and are managed with specified medication.

I have had bariatric surgery in the past, does it apply to the Allurion Balloon?

No. Patients with previous bariatric surgeries do not apply for the balloon.

How long does the procedure take?

10 to 15 minutes, it is an outpatient procedure.

Do patients who have had cancer apply?

Yes, after 5 years of remission.

Do you accept insurance?

Insurance does NOT apply for this procedure.

At what age can I have the procedure?

As young as 15 years old.

Are the medications for the procedure included in the cost?

Medications are not included.

When can I exercise?

From the second day after the Allurion Balloon is placed.

After pregnancy, at what time can I have the Allurion Balloon placed?

As long as you are not breastfeeding, you can have the Allurion Balloon.
